They only needed a little bit of editing, mainly to remove OCR errors and to give all three tracks the same numbering, structure, and timing. A note about the 2.23:1 aspect ratio: All authorities agree that the original aspect ratio of this movie is 2.35:1. Nevertheless, to my eyes, at a 2.35:1 aspect ratio the image seems to be horizontally stretched by about 5%. I have no idea how the distortion crept in, but the movie simply looks more natural when displayed at a 2.23:1 aspect ratio, which is about a 5% correction. The screenshots are meant to illustrate my point. Anyway, unless you have a 2.35:1 screen in your home theater, you have nothing to lose by trying this 2.23:1 edition. At worst, you'll have narrower black bars. At best, you'll be one of the first people in 54 years to see this beloved film in its full glory. Related Torrents
