Editors] are an English indie rock band from Birmingham, consisting of Tom Smith (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, piano), Chris Urbanowicz (lead guitar and synth), Russell Leetch (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Ed Lay (drums, percussion and live backing vocals). In 2006, Editors were nominated for the Mercury Prize.



The Back Room is the debut album by British indie rock band Editors, released July 25, 2005. It was nominated for the 2006 Mercury Prize and as of June 2007, has sold 402,000 copies in United Kingdom and over 500,000 worldwide.
