Joe is joined on this recording by his regular working quartet of the early 1990's (extraordinary rhythm guitarist John Pisano, versatile bassist Jim Hughart and colorful drummer Colin Bailey). Together they perform a variety of famous Christmas songs, plus Joe's own "Happy Holiday Blues." While most of the offerings are from the quartet, there are also some two-guitar duets and a few unaccompanied solos to add variety to the proceedings. Each track swings in a joyful way that will appeal to not only the jazz afficionado but also the casual listener.
