John Wayne 30s B-movies (30 movies) DVD Rip Xvid English

After starring in "The Big Trail" John Wayne was still struggling to break through. Serials, B-movies, minor parts and last (and least) minor parts in B-movies. He had two roles in these Tim McCoy movies. I feel "Two-Fisted Law" is the worst movie I have seen him in (or even seen at all). "Texas Cyclone" is slightly better. Why would you want to see this? Either you are a real fan of John Wayne or old westerns or big silly hats. These are true B-movies made as a preview to the main attractions.Run-time about 55 minutes each.
Two-Fisted Law (1932)

Rancher Tim Clark borrows money from Bob Russell, who then rustles Clark's cattle so he will be unable to repay the money. Thus Russell is able to cheat Clark out of his ranch. Clark becomes a prospector for silver and ultimately comes to settle accounts with Russell and crooked deputy Bendix.
Texas Cyclone (1932)

When Texas Grant rides into town people think the supposedly dead Jim Rawlings has returned. After a confrontation with Utah Becker, Grant learns Helen Rawlings is about to lose her ranch to Becker. Grant then decides to stay and pose as Rawlings in an effort to help her.

These movies from poor to mediocre, but they are film history. After having the lead role in "The Big Trail" which was a good movie, but flopped partly becouse of being the first attempt to launch a widescreen format in movie theatres he had a few minor roles. Then he was called in to make these 6 movies for WB. They are remakes of Ken Maynard silent westerns and unused film of the horse from these were also put into the movies.
Ride Him, Cowboy (1932)
John Drury saves Duke, a wild horse accused of murder, and trains him. When he discovers that the real murderer, a badguy known as The Hawk, is the town's leading citizen, Drury arrested on a fraudulent charge.
The Big Stampede (1932)
Both Sam Crew and his gang and Sonora Joe and his men are rustlers after a cattle herd just arriving. John Steele, sent by the Governor, is out to stop them. Greatly outnumbered, Steele's plan is to deputize Sonora and his men to fight the Crew gang.
Haunted Gold (1932)
John Mason returns to the Sally Ann mine to claim his half share. Janet Cater also returns although her father lost his half share to Joe Ryan. Ryan and his gang are also there to get the gold. A mysterious Phantom is also present. Mason's plan to expose Ryan as an outlaw and to force him to turn his share to Janet works. But when distracted by the Phantom, John is made a prisoner by the gang.
The Telegraph Trail (1933)
Greedy opportunist Gus Lynch, in order to continue to gouge townsfolk for necessary supplies, convinces High Wolf and his Indian tribe that they need to prevent the completion of the new telegraph lines or their tribe will be wiped out by a new influx of white men. Receiving an incomplete message warning of a white man's involvement in the recent Indian uprisings, cavalry scout John Trent is sent in to rectify the situation.
Somewhere in Sonora (1933)
Framed for a stagecoach accident, John Bishop is jailed. Bob Leady helps break him out and in return John heads for Sonoora to look for Leady's missing son. He finds him when he joins Monte black's gang, a gang from which no member has ever escaped alive.
The Man from Monterey (1933)
Captain John Holmes has been sent to encourage the Spanish landowners in California to register their land. To keep Don Jose from registering his, Don Pablo kidnaps him. Earlier Holmes did a favor for Morgan and his ruffian gang by keeping them from being arrested. Now he calls on Morgan to repay that favor by helping him fight Don Pablo and his men.

During the period 1933-1935, Wayne hooked up with Monogram Pictures to star in 16 low-budget westerns called "Lone Star Westerns". They are true B-movies, aimed to be shown before the main movies at the Saturday matinees. They were written buy a few writers and over half of them were also directed by Robert North Bradbury.One of the most interesting things about these movies were John Wayne/Yakima Canutt team. Yakima Canutt is one of the biggest names in Hollywoods stunt man history. He and John Wayne were friends and allegedly a lot of techniques for filming fights were developed by the two in these westerns. Yakima Canutt's most famous stunts were however stunts involving horses. Run-time for each movie is between 50 and 55 minutes.
The quality on these vary, but the source DVD's are probably about the best released(except for "Rainbow Valley").
Riders of Destiny:
Gun-slinging, edge-of-your-seat action. James Kincade manages the area's water supply and is forcing the ranchers to sign a contract to secure expensive water rates. Singin' Sandy Saunders a Government Agent plots against Kincade to overthrow the contract and impress Fay Denton.
Sagebrush Trail:
Romance rides in a drama of thundering hooves and blazing guns. After being wrongfully imprisoned for murder, John Brant escapes and flees west to join a gang of outlaws. He soon discovers his new friend, Jones, committed the murder he was imprisoned for. Brant seeks to clear his name and combat Jones? interests in the pretty shop girl.
West of the Divide:
Revenge is sweet. Impersonating a wanted man, Ted Hayden joins Gentry?s gang. It doesn?t take Hayden long to figure out that it was Gentry who killed his father. Not only must he return a stolen ranch to the Woods family, but he must rescue his long-lost brother Spud.
The Lucky Texan:
Money talks! Jerry Mason and Jake Benson are betrayed when they trustingly hand in their gold to a local assayer in town. The assay officials follow Benson back to the mine, shoot him and blame Mason for the killing. At Mason?s trial Benson appears, to provide a surprise for the culprits.
Blue Steel:
Appearances can be deceiving. When Sheriff Jake observes a man close to a robbery he immediately follows him suspiciously. He soon learns that Melgrove, the town's leading citizen, is intending to deviously buy the worthless town, which actually stands on top of a huge gold mine.
The Man from Utah:
Winning is everything! John Weston is sent by the Marshall to investigate the killings of rodeo riders competing for prize money. When it appears that Weston will beat Barton's rider, he tries his usual tactics to secure the contest.
Randy Rides Alone:
Presumed guilty, one man stands alone to prove his innocence. When Randy is jailed for murders that he did not commit, Sally Rogers breaks him out of jail, knowing that he is innocent. On the run from the Sheriff, Randy stumbles across the real murderer's hideout. In order to clear his name Randy must find a way of leading the Sheriff to the law-breaking gang.
The Star Packer:
He fought for justice and battled for love. When the Sheriff is murdered by The Shadow and his gang, Travers and his companion Yak, take over the job of solving the town?s murders. By capturing two gang members they learn where to find The Shadow and how to rescue Travers? heroine.
The Trail Beyond:
A race to the gold. A fight to the death. Set against a snowy mountain backdrop, Rod Drew saves college pal Wabi from card-sharks on a train. He later finds two skeletons and a map that appears to lead to a goldmine. But Drew and Wabi are not the only people aware of the existence of the map or the goldmine?
'Neath the Arizona Skies:
The life of one young woman is in his hands. Nina, the daughter of a rich Indian, is due to inherit her father?s oil field. Needing his signature to claim the land, Nina and her guardian Morrell begin to search for her long lost parent. In the meantime several outlaws discover her value and successfully abduct her. Morrell accused of murder and dodging the law races to rescue her.
The Lawless Frontier:
In a law-less land, one man battles for justice. After Tobin?s parents are killed he partners with Dwire to bring Zanti and his gang to justice. Tobin rescues Ruby after an attempted abduction and then is wrongfully accused of murdering Ruby?s grandfather. Tobin chases Zanti into the desert in a desperate attempt clear his name.
Texas Terror:
Nobody can hide from the truth. Higgins quits his job as Sheriff when he thinks that he has murdered his best friend in a shoot-out. Retreating to the high country he meets Matthews who hires him to work on her late father?s ranch. She soon recognises him believing he is her father?s murderer.
Rainbow Valley
Our hero rescues a messenger service from ambush by a gang of renegades. 'The Desert Trail' finds a rodeo star who falls out with a friend over a woman and brings a gang of criminals to justice.
The Desert Trail:
Being at the wrong place at the wrong time can be murder. John and his gambling partner Kansas are set up when Pete murders the Official of the Rodeo. They are forced to move out of town and take new identities. Meanwhile Pete and his unwilling accomplice Jim plan a stagecoach robbery and once again find John and Kansas and blame them for the crime. After breaking free from jail the innocent pair follow the trail to capture Pete and obtain a confession.
The Dawn Rider:
A fight for love and justice. When John Mason?s father is killed during a robbery, he is seriously wounded. Over time, Mason finds himself attracted to his nurse, Alice. A conflict soon arises between Mason and his friend Ben when Ben reveals his plans to marry Alice. But the secrets that are to be revealed stand to be more shocking than anybody could have imagined.
Paradise Canyon:
Wyatt has the wrong man ? the blood of the innocent will be on his hands. John Wyatt is sent under cover to follow Doc Carter?s medicine show to expose a counterfeiting gang. When the main suspect is kidnapped with his daughter by the real villain, Wyatt realises he has been chasing the wrong man and switches his attentions to the notorious Curly Joe.
This is a collection of B-movies from the 1930's that didn't fit into the other collections I put up. The bad news is that the quality of the source DVD's are poor except for "King of the Pecos which is good. The good news is that these films are better than the ones in the other collections.
His Private Secretary(1933)

John Wayne in an early romantic comedy. He was no Cary Grant, but I found this movie entertaining.
Lawless Range(1935)

John Middleton is investigating cattle rustling when he is captured and tossed into a cave with Emmett, a rancher who disappeared earlier. They help each other escape and learn that a local banker is trying to scare everyone away to grab up some secret gold mines.
The "missing" Lone Star western. Same actors, director and writer(and basicly the same story) as a lot of the Lone Star westerns. Republic had temporarly taken ower ownership and that's why it's not released as a Lone Star western.
Winds of the Wasteland(1936)

King of the Pecos(1936)

To control the area's water rights, Stiles kills the Clayburns. Their boy John was present and ten years later he returns as a lawyer. First he gets the Judge to declare the water rights public. Then he foils Stiles' attempt to keep the ranchers from filing. When the ranchers drive their cattle to market Stiles tries to stop them. But John is not only determined to get them through but to also settle the score with Stiles.
Born to the West(Hell Town)(1937)

Dare Rudd takes a shine to his cattleman cousin Tom's girlfriend who asks Tom to hire Dare to head the big cattle drive. Dare loses the money for the drive to cardsharps, but Tom wins it back, but Dare must save Tom's life.
My favorite B-western. Most of them have been released under different titles, but this one is probably better known as Hell Town than Born to the West.
New Frontier (Frontier Horizon)(1939)

The Three Mesquiteers convince a group of settlers to exchange their present property for some which, unbeknownst to our goodguys, is going to be worthless. They are captured before they can warn the ranchers.
John Wayne made two movies called "New Frontier" (the other was made in 1935). According to IMBD there were released 53 movies in the "Three Mesquiteers" series. This is one of the eight John Wayne participated in.
