About the film:



In the novel by W. Somerset Maugham. The beginning of the twenties of the last century. Secured by a young man named Larry Darrell, suddenly breaks off his relationship with loved ones, and changed his mind to marry his longtime girlfriend Isabel decides to seek the meaning of life in traveling to distant countries. The search for education led him to the Himalayas. Full of impressions, he decides to return to the native land, but he did not suggest that his return is similar to the steps of the razor's edge ... this "Oscar" movie for relationships of characters, passions and natures clearly emerges artistic and philosophical analysis of the "eternal" themes of world literature : the meaning of life, the purpose of art, love and death.
