The Script is the Choice Music Prize-nominated[1][2][3] self-titled debut album from Irish band The Script, which was released in the Republic of Ireland on 8 August 2008 and was released in the UK on 11 August 2008.[4] Following success in the Republic of Ireland the album was released elsewhere in Europe in September 2008. The album entered the UK Album Chart with sales of 54,520 copies. The album went on to sell around 542,000 copies in the UK during 2008, and was the twelfth best selling album in the UK of 2008. It was then released in the United States on 11 March 2009. The album peaked at #91 on the Billboard 200 on 4 April 2009.[5] The album peaked at number 14 on the US iTunes chart on May 13th, 2009. [6]
