Opis:

Robert Zemeckis, twórca "Forresta Gumpa" i "Cast Away: poza światem", zabiera nas w świat magii, przedstawiając historię Philippe'a Petita, francuskiego artysty-linoskoczka, który w 1974 r. w spektakularny sposób, bez jakichkolwiek zabezpieczeń, przeszedł po stalowej linie rozpostartej między nowojorskimi wieżami World Trade Center. Podniebny spacer trwał 45 minut. Drobna sylwetka ubranego na czarno mężczyzny stała się symbolem, a wyczyn przyniósł mu międzynarodowy rozgłos i zapewnił miejsce w historii (nikomu nie udało się tego powtórzyć). Współcześni ocenili dokonanie Petita jako romantyczny gest skierowany przeciw wyrachowanemu światu korporacji zajmujących biura World Trade Center.

Storyline:

Twelve people have walked on the moon, but only one man - Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan.
