Trans-Siberian Orchestra was formed in 1996 by Paul O'Neill along with Robert Kinkel and Jon Oliva of Savatage. O'Neill and Kinkel write a large portion of the music, but the former does not perform with the band. Alex Skolnick (Testament and Savatage) helped them out on the last three tours.
