OPIS

Murdered: Soul Suspect to oryginalny interaktywny thriller autorstwa Airtight Games, studia odpowiedzialnego za Quantum Conundrum oraz Dark Void, z którym współpracowała firma Square Enix. Gra jest reprezentantem gatunku przygodowych gier akcji, a główny nacisk położono na elementy detektywistyczne.

Miejsce akcji przenosi gracza w objęcia miasteczka Salem, w stanie Massachusetts, kojarzonego przede wszystkim z XVII-wieczną historią dotyczącą czarownic, na które polowano, a następnie bardzo często - w wyniku udowodnienia zakazanych praktyk - palono na stosie. W grze pokuszono się również o stworzenie mistycznego klimatu, z wyeksponowaniem mocy nadnaturalnych. Wcielamy się bowiem w Ronana O'Connora, detektywa, który na początku rozgrywki zostaje zamordowany, a jego postać - niczym w filmie Uwierz w ducha z Patrickiem Swayze'em i Demi Moore w rolach głównych - przeistacza się w ducha. Musimy zmierzyć się ze swoimi demonami, rozwikłać intrygującą zagadkę własnego zabójstwa i odkryć, kto stoi za tym niecnym uczynkiem, tym samym sprowadzając spokój duszy. Studio Airtight Games dużo uwagi poświęciło zrealizowaniu trzymającej w napięciu warstwy fabularnej.

Bohater, przybierając nową formę, otrzymuje zdolności paranormalne, dzięki którym nie tylko jest niewidzialny dla oczu innych, ale również potrafi czytać w umysłach ludzi, przenikać do nich, wykorzystując je do własnych celów, a nawet kontrolować je w ograniczonym stopniu. W trakcie rozgrywki, w życiu "pomiędzy", napotyka inne, nękane dusze oraz złe demony, głodne rzekomo zbawiających dusz. Za sprawą tych ostatnich twórcy wprowadzili nieco elementów akcji w tej przygodowo-detektywistycznej przygodzie, gdyż stanowią dla Ronana zagrożenie, przed którym uciekamy albo je eliminujemy.

Rozgrywka w Murdered polega głównie na odkrywaniu kolejnych fragmentów śledztwa - jej formuła pod wieloma względami przypomina detektywistyczną produkcję studia Team Bondi - L.A. Noire. Wyciągamy wnioski na podstawie dostępnych poszlak, a gdy bohaterowi uda się zebrać odpowiednią liczbę faktów, doprowadzimy do nieskomplikowanej mini-gry, dzięki której dosłownie odtworzymy przebieg wydarzeń.

Soul Suspect rozbudowano także o drobne elementy RPG, sprowadzające się do tego, że za odkrywanie kolejnych faktów, wykonywanie występujących dość licznie opcjonalnych zadań pobocznych, które są miłym odpoczynkiem od wątku przewodniego, otrzymujemy cenne punkty doświadczenia. Dzięki nim rozwijamy nadludzkie umiejętności detektywa.

Grafika została utrzymana w mrocznym tonie. Akcja rozgrywa się wyłącznie po zmroku, a twórcy starali się uchwycić tajemniczą naturę miasta. Oprawa wizualna, którą generuje zmodyfikowany silnik Unreal 3, prezentuje bogate w detale otoczenie oraz wykonane z dbałością modele postaci. Dużą uwagę poświęcono również muzyce, oddającej przygnębiającą atmosferę Salem, oraz aktorom użyczającym głos. O'Connor komentuje żywo kolejne poczynania i celnie opisuje bieżące wydarzenia, dzięki czemu w większym stopniu utożsamiamy się z bohaterem opowieści.

DESCRIPTION

Murdered: Suspect Soul is an original interactive thriller by Airtight Games, the studio responsible for Quantum Conundrum and Dark Void, which has worked with the company Square Enix. The game is a representative action adventure genre, and the main emphasis was placed on the elements of detective.

The setting takes the player into the arms of the town Salem, Massachusetts, associated primarily with the seventeenth-century story about witches, which were hunted, and then very often - as a result of proving the prohibited practices - were burned at the stake. Game pokuszono also to create a mystical climate of exposing supernatural power. During the game, in life, "between", encounters other, harassed souls and evil demons, hungry allegedly zbawiających souls.
