 Now for something rather different and obscure ... Most of the music here has been arranged specifically for the choir, much from folk origins (1,2,5,7,9,10,12,13), making the overall sound far more contemporary than one would expect from music of the periods on offer. Tracks 14-18 are in any case a wholly modern composition of a mass setting (1982). All the texts are of early composition. Some very interesting and ethereal sounds on this CD.
