Stanley Getz (1927-1991) was a rapidly rising star in 1952, and he had contributed to the year's most popular jazz album: guitarist Johnny Smith's MOONLIGHT IN VERMONT
Of my many Getz recordings (to be honest I prefer Zoot's tone) this is my favorite, yet it remains somewhat obscure. For this Verve 1988 digitization 4 tracks were added to the original LP.
