Description
[1979] The Flying Lizards - Money [VA 67003]
A1: Money - 2:30 B1: Money B - 4:06 This is the US 7" (Virgin VA 67003), ripped to 16/48 FLAC in March 2012. Also known as "Money (That's What I Want)", the A-side was a New Wave/experimental pop hit. The B-side is a dubby instrumental version. In the UK, both tracks were reissued on CD in November 2010 on the Cherry Red / RPM Retrodisc compilation album The Flying Lizards / Fourth Wall, which you can still find via Amazon or any other major online retailer. Those remastered cuts are surely of much higher quality than the less-than-perfect vinyl rip I'm making available here. Here's what the band's official website says about this single: 7" version of "Money" simply fades out after 2:31. B-side: "Money B" is the second half of song that appears on the album, but is indeed different from the album version - it has some added samples and panning effects, and a loud ray-gun sound that closes out the song. Also, what in the world is going on in that photograph on the front cover anyway!? Availability: Out of print collector's item. Pretty easy to find, especially on the web. Related Torrents
