The story as I understand it (and, it's just a story - if you have a different story, please tell yours), is that Mick had been dying for "just a down home session of the blues", and that his favorite blues band at the time was the Red Devils. To the band's surprise some studio time was set up, and they informally jammed for a while.

This is a session of mostly great blues covers, with a relaxed and alert Mick doing the honors. The versions range from above average to outfreakingrageous. "Mrs. D" gave it her stamp of approval, so it can't suck too bad!

There are 21 tracks in all, but unfortunately no information on the CD as to what they are. To further complicate things, there is more than one version of this title, with different tunes on each. I came up with three different ones - two with 21 tracks, and one with 18. The CD used for this torrent is a fairly rare silver pressing of "Nature Of My Game", reference Mecca CD PRO 666. Of the two different versions with 21 tracks, the CD track parameters come back different than the ones on the CD. I used the following website, where the track names seemed to match:

Whether the take numbers are the same or not is anyone's guess. You are welcome to provide track and take corrections. Some of these songs were recorded in virtually the same manner by different blues artists, and may have had more than one title...

This is a fairly good soundboard, with way too much bass on some tracks. I chose to leave it alone. To me, it made it sound more authentic.

There are various versions of this available, most with 21 tracks, another with 18 tracks. A search for artwork revealed two different sets, neither of which matches the tracks above exactly. What do you expect ? It's a Stones bootleg!
