Seizoen 2
In het eerste seizoen van 55 Degrees North zagen we hoe politie-inspecteur Nicky Cole tegen zijn zin werd overgeplaatst naar Newcastle -
en hoe die verhuizing voor hem eigenlijk één grote cultuurschok was.
Inmiddels is Nicky wat meer gewend geraakt aan zijn omgeving.
Toch vindt hij het nog steeds knap lastig om het zijn chefs bij de plaatselijke politie naar de zin te maken.
Om nog maar te zwijgen van de relatie die hij probeert aan te knopen met Claire Maxwell, juriste en alleenstaande moeder.
Maar goed, verder voelt Nicky zich langzamerhand best op zijn plek.
Hij slaagt er nu zelfs in niet alléén maar nachtdiensten te draaien.
Zo kan hij eindelijk zijn privéleven weer een beetje normaal maken.
Daarbij ontdekt hij helaas al gauw dat 'normaal' niet altijd hetzelfde is als 'makkelijk'...
