Opis:

The story of Thomas More, who stood up to King Henry VIII when the King rejected the Roman Catholic Church
to obtain a divorce and remarriage.

Film opowiada o ostatnich latach życia sir Thomasa More'a, wielkiego angielskiego humanisty, cieszącego
się autorytetem moralnym w całej Europie i jego konflikcie z królem Henrykiem VIII. Angielski monarcha
postanowił porzucić swoją żonę, królową Katarzynę i poślubić Annę Boleyn. More nie chciał otwarcie buntować
się przeciw swemu monarsze. Złożył więc urząd i wycofał się z życia publicznego.
