your priorities, rearranging your schedule, and rethinking the way you approach
nutrition and fitness. You have a lot of control over your choices, but relatively little
control over the number on the scale. For these very reasons, I will forego presenting
you with more doom and gloom when it comes to body weight and statistics. You’ve
had enough of that already. I want to address the day-to-day issues, challenges, and
potential solutions when it comes to making healthier choices and changing your
lifestyle. The information is not new, but I hope you find it presented in a way that
is personally meaningful and actionable in your quest for optimal health.
You are about to begin a lifelong journey toward improved vitality,
energy, clarity, and health. In focusing on your health habits, it’s critical
to understand that these habits fit into a greater whole, which is you as
a human being. By examining physical health in the context of this
greater whole, you will be able to keep the daily ups and downs of
changing your habits in their proper place. Changing habits takes time,
effort, and commitment, but it should not take over your life. Before
you get started, assess your personal “readiness” for this type of commitment
and have a realistic picture of your current health.
