ok, i followed the instructions as listed and once i paste the code into Terminal and enter my passcode, i only get this message " TextEdit[3562:7f07] NSTrackPersistentURLs: LSSharedFileListInsertItemURL() failed at inserting URL file://localhost/etc/hosts (/etc/hosts) "

has anyone had any recent success with the crack? if so, please give a bit more clarity on the given instructions and, if possible, what the stated error might mean. running OSX 10.7.5 Lion

Figured it out...for those of you having the same issue as i did when you enter the code "sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts" delete " /etc/hosts " and press enter. the new code should look like this:
"sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit"

(without quotations obviously)

This worked for me. Hope it helps
