Agent Fresco - A Long Time Listening

Agent Fresco is an Icelandic band that won Músíktilraunir (icelandic version of Battle of the Bands) , along with winning awards for ‘best guitarist’, ‘best drummer’ and ‘best bassist’. They went on to win the Global Battle of the Bands in Iceland. They play polyrythmic oddtime rock with jazz and funk influence.
Their first and only EP, Lightbulb Universe, was released in 2008. It won a ‘Kraumur’ award along with 5 other albums.
Currently they’ve released one album, A Long Time Listening, on Record Records. Agent Fresco produced the record themselves. The album features re-recordings of songs found on their earlier EP. It was released on November 22 after a brief period of online exclusivity on gogoyoko.com. The release had earlier been set for October but was delayed due to the lead singer having an excessively sore throat, which caused delays in recording.
The lead singer Arnór Dan Arnársson was part of Rosa (http://www.soundvenue.com/artist/rosa) a danish progressive-rock act hailing from Sorø, Denmark after they split up in 2005 he relocated to Reykjavik, Iceland where he currently lives and studies classical singing.
