Alabama / Southern Drawl - Single (Size: 6.48 MB)
DescriptionThe Alabama band returns with a new studio album, "Southern Drawl," set for release Sept. 18 on BMG. The first single, "Wasn't Through Lovin' You Yet," is available now on iTunes. (You can hear it at the bottom of this post via SoundCloud.) "Southern Drawl," 13 tracks strong, is the band's first collection of original material in 14 years, and a follow-up to 2001's "When It All Goes South." The country musicians from Fort Payne -- singer Randy Owen, bassist Teddy Gentry and guitarist/fiddler Jeff Cook -- have promised songs with a fresh take on their signature sound, responding to recent trends in the music world. "Country music when we took our 'vacation' is not the same country it is today," Cook said in an interview with USA Today. "For people who knew the original Alabama, it's going to be a little different to their ears." Don't expect Alabama to change its aesthetic too much, though; this band has a tight connection with its fan base and won't stray too far from its roots Sharing Widget |
