Wikipedia:
Alanis Nadine Morissette (born June 1, 1974) is a Canadian-American alternative rock singer-songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and actress. Morissette began her career in Canada when she signed a two-album recording contract with MCA Records Canada where she released two commercially successful dance-pop albums, Alanis (1991) and Now Is the Time (1992). Following the release of the albums Morissette left MCA Records Canada and was introduced to manager Scott Welch. Morissette began working on new music, after moving from her hometown of Ottawa to Toronto, but did not make much progress until travelling to Los Angeles, where she met Glen Ballard.
Together the pair began creating what would become Jagged Little Pill, and by the spring of 1995, she had signed a deal with Maverick Records. Jagged Little Pill was a departure from Morissette's previous work and featured rock genres. Released in 1995, Jagged Little Pill was a huge success and sold more than 33 million units globally. Her following album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was released in 1998.
Morissette took up producing duties for her subsequent albums, which include Under Rug Swept (2002), So-Called Chaos (2004), and Flavors of Entanglement (2008). Her eighth studio album, Havoc and Bright Lights, was released in 2012. Morissette has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide. Morissette is also known for her powerful and emotive mezzo-soprano voice. She has been dubbed the "Queen of alt-rock angst" by Rolling Stone.

Wikipedia:
Feast on Scraps is an Alanis Morissette CD released on December 10, 2002 containing B-sides and unreleased studio tracks left off Morissette's album Under Rug Swept, which was released earlier that year. "Awakening Americans" and "Symptoms" were the only previously released songs to be omitted. "Simple Together" charted at No. 14 on Chile Top 20. "Fear Of Bliss" peaked at No. 4 on the Digital Sales Top 100 chart. As of September 2008, Feast on Scraps had sold 76,000 copies in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan.

AllMusic Review:
Fresh from her "Toward Our Union Mended" 2002 world tour, Alanis Morissette hit the studio to pull together FEAST ON SCRAPS, a CD featuring eight unreleased audio tracks from her last studio outing UNDER RUG SWEPT. A master of looking inward and emerging with musical manna, Morissette does not disappoint as she dips into feelings of undeserved success (the subtly tumultuous "Fear Of Bliss"), guilt over this dissatisfaction (a gently lilting "Offer"), and a heavy dose of fame-fueled ennui (the Middle Eastern-flavored "Purgatorying"). Other highlights include the harder-edged "Sister Blister," touching break-up ballad "Simple Together," and a gorgeous solo acoustic reading of her hit "Hands Clean." FEAST ON SCRAPS is far from skimpy, and on the contrary, turns out to be a fine audio meal.
