Why does the app need so much (imho TOO much) control over my contacts , send sms??etc..?? Not trusting this app. Didn't install.

Okay... Well this is the APK straight from Amazon. So i did some digging.

SMS is for SMS Verification which only works in some regions (I believe Chinese Market) I first used this forum on amazon and then i found a better link to reddit here


Now for contacts. Im not really sure, but it probably something stupid like sharing with friends. Amazon is a well known and trusted source. And most people of forums said that this was only a upgrade from the last Amazon app and they only added one more permission. Reddit link to that

Also i would look into if your Android Device has App ops, most newer ROMs have this. It will allow you to disable any permissions you don't want the app to have!
