A group of cheerleaders (3 girls and a guy) are on their way to the regional collegiate championship, along the way they run into all sorts of trouble such as a rival cheerleader rumble, and a mid-hummer car accident that leaves them stranded in the middle of nowhere solely at the mercy of some cops with severe problems and most of all, a supernatural-welding-mask-wearing-cannibal played by porn legend Ron Jeremy (Yes as a matter of fact I DO enjoy RJ in indie horror flicks!).



Along the way we get bits and pieces of narration by some old coot, and more often than not he?s funnier?n hell! There are also a couple of escaped cons that show up, one of them is mildly annoying, and the other does a fine job and I actually ended up getting a might bit sympathetic towards his character. Also worth mention was not so much an over abundance of nudity, but it?s there, and there is an amusing lesbo scene that deals with Vienna sausages and chili. No really, I?m serious!



The acting in Andre the Butcher is WELL above indie caliber, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that pretty much the entire cast actually knew what they were doing, had some great delivery and never once made me wish they would be the next victim.



A pretty funny romp of a movie that?s intentionally humorous and does a damn fine job of bringing the laughs pretty much for the duration. There are some parts that drag on here and there, but those parts are few and far, and don?t really detract from my overall opinion of the film.



Throw some great picture quality/production in to the mix and a killer metal soundtrack, dismemberments, bi-sections, and all sorts of various damage done with knives, cleavers, machete?s etc. Add some wicked disgusting scab munching and you?ve got the formula for an enjoyable hour-and-a-half or so on your hands. Recommended.
