Description
Aria Sounds is a newly established company making high quality sounding composition tools more widely accessible to even the youngest of learning composers, by offering our virtual instruments at very low and competitive prices.
Certain instruments, for example our classical guitar, include a new system of midi performance that we have come up with, which allows the user to preserve the entire attack of a note. This means the difference between a realistic and artificial sound. The usual problem with preserving the entire attack of say, a classical guitar, is that the scraping sound of the guitarists nail on the string lasts a few milliseconds before the string’s plucked tone clearly sounds/hits. When you play this on a keyboard, it feels like latency (there is a pause between the time you press a key, and the time the note is played). The Solution?... To fix this, we have a button titled “perf. mode”, on the interface. When this "performance mode" is activated, the attack is cut, and the sample starts right from the plucked tone, meaning you can play the instrument comfortably without feeling latency. Once you have played in/recorded the part, you can deactivate “perf. mode”, so that the samples will now include the entire recorded sound, which will sound much more natural. For best results... When this is done, you should manually go into the MIDI data which you recorded, and stretch the beginnings of the notes back a little to compensate for the added attack time. Some minor editing afterwards may or may not be necessary, just to maybe cover up any unnatural sounding gaps, timing issues etc. This results in a much more realistic performance, but don't take our word for it, take a listen!
