Ashes Divide (commonly typeset as ASHES dIVIDE) is an American rock band formed by guitarist Billy Howerdel, who had also formed A Perfect Circle. As of January 2008, the only known members of the band are Billy Howerdel, who played almost every instrument used (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard),[1] Josh Freese (drums), and Devo Keenan (cello), the son of Maynard James Keenan.[2] In addition to Freese and Devo, the record will feature drummer Dean Menta, Concrete Blonde's Johnette Napolitano, Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba and former A Perfect Circle bassist Paz Lenchantin



ASHES dIVIDE expands on the sound that was created by Howerdel's unorthodox guitar playing in A Perfect Circle, and new depth is given to the music with the addition of electronic sounds and keyboard.
