Real nice print and hard to come by film. Most would think Jules Verne's "Journey to the center of the Earth" when it comes to drill-to-the-center-of-the-earth-type-cinema but, while both are masterpieces, Burroughs has his own charms. I am beyond elated to find this film.

One of the three picture's that came out in the mid 70's which teamed director Kevin Conner with then action hero Doug Mclure,this has always been my personal favourite due to the wonderful performance giving by now legendary actor Peter Cushing.Core is like Journey To The Centre Of The Earth on acid with the added bonus of a bunch of bad guys who fly around,and for back then pretty well done,even though at a glance you can sometimes see the wires,its pure entertainment.Just wait for the scene where Cushing bow and arrows a rather nasty fire breathing dragon,hes just brilliant with his words as he hits his target 'Bullseye"

If youre looking for a campy classic Core will not dissapoint,watch and see how much care was taken in the opening shots as the iron mole burrows into the earth,even by todyas standards it still looks great

Quite right, but don't forget the lovely Caroline Munro who earlier appeared in another classic The Golden Voyage of Sinbad in 1973. I did love the part where Peter Cushing was trying to shoo away the giant monster with his umbrella.
