'The Best Damn Thing' is the 4th and last video single by Canadian singer/songwriter Avril Lavigne off her third album, The Best Damn Thing. It has been confirmed that it would be released on June 6th in Germany, but the official release date for the rest of the world still remains unknown. It has been released to Australian radio during the week of April 19th 2008 and has been added to radio countdown The Hot Hits.



The video was directed by Wayne Isham and was filmed on February 28th 2008. The official video premiered on TRL Italy on April 4th 2008. The video shows Lavigne as a cheerleader with back up dancers, in a light blue dress wearing a short pink wig, and in a black and pink room performing with her band. She played the drums towards the end of the video while wearing a T-shirt which displayed her clothing line logo "Abbey Dawn". Along with her brother Matthew, her former band members Evan Taubenfeld and Devin Bronson also make an appearance in the video.
