Baiga Vasara. Summer of Terror

In this film the director is playing with canons of the genre of historical melodrama. The action of the film takes place on June 12-19 of 1940 - time, when Europe is flooded by terror and independent Latvia is being betrayed and occupied.

Love ignites between Prussian girl and Latvian radio journalist. Unfortunately the couple has to face the unfair and fierce politics of WW II. It is a dangerous game, which leaves deep impact on the nations theirs leaders, peoples and their lives. The game, in which cannot be winners.

The film truly portrays the illegal occupation fact of the Baltic states that has always been denied by Soviet Union.



The film has taken part in 28 international film festivals and in Baltic Culture Days.
