Hoe men de oorlog ervaarden en wat voor invloed dat op hen had en nog steeds heeft. En tot slot de thuiskomst. Deze recente interviews uit 2001, worden afgewisseld met archiefbeelden en foto's. Een zeer indrukwekkend en emotioneel relaas...

Een video over de productie van deze 120 miljoen dollar kostende TV-serie met z'n 1000 figuranten, 14.000 nep kogels en 700 visuele effecten, welke 3 jaar in beslag nam. Je ziet de voorbereidingen, zoals het zoeken naar de locaties, het bouwen van de sets, het maken van de props, de kleding, wapens en de casting. Naast veel interviews, beelden uit de serie en B-rol zie je wat m.b.t. het "Booth-camp" voor de acteurs en vertelt men iets over de gebruikte film technieken..
