Antoine has always been a careful man. He is careful with his work, his home, his family and his affairs, but after a brush with death, Antoine decides his meticulously planned life needs a serious shake up. Every change he makes, however, impacts on his eclectic group of friends as they confront middle age in a variety of both comical and poignant ways.



Director Éric Lavaine extracts delightful performances from a phenomenal cast in Barbecue. Lambert Wilson, known from films such as Cycling With Molière, delivers a charming performance as a man embracing his mortality in a novel and slightly extreme manner.



The supporting cast of comedian Franck Dubosc (The Date Coach), Guillaume de Tonquedec (What’s In A Name?) and Lionel Abelanski, appearing in his third Lavaine film, are all equally exceptional as Antoine’s unpredictable circle of friends.



With sun-kissed settings, a beautiful Southern France backdrop and touching moments of comedy, Barbecue will leave you hungry for more.
