Description

The one that started it all. Batman focuses on the rise of the famous Batman and his influence on Gotham City as he fights the most devilish of villains and stops the most dastardly plans. It spanned from 1940-2011.
From Batman #343 storylines ran in both Batman and Detective Comics - this continued for 3½ years, those issues of Detective Comics are included in this collection.
Also worthy of mention is the original Batman collection from joshua13 - comprised solely of the scans available at the time, that torrent form the starting point for this 'digital update'.

What I have done is taken a previous torrent which was comprised soley of scans and replaced all the scans which digital copies were available for - a scan is a taken from an actual physical copy of the comic and a digital files is purely digital straight from the publisher - therefore a great deal better quality.
Thanks must be given to the original scanners and the guys from Empire, Novus and Minutemen who have made these digital files available to us - at cost to themselves

what are the hybrid files? is that something missing from either digital and/or scan so they are combined?

That would be a digital file with something added - like maybe a variant cover or something so=imilar that was only available from a physical copy - so scanned and added + hybrid

Shame it's not the whole thing - but that would be expensive - around $1400 - I would imagine that's why they get done a few issues at a time

So strange. I know a guy who had one of the very best "BATMAN" collections in physical form from the origin story in "Detective" magazine up into the 1990's. Then he got hooked on cocaine and sold it all. I spoke with him recently about scanned comics and direct digital downloads, and he was adamant that to a real collector, the only possible 1st rate collection is one that consists of 100% physical medium... the hard copy comics you buy at the newsstand. Everything else, no matter how nice it looks on your computer screen or kindle, is bulls..t".
