I have never seen the widescreen version posted anywhere if I had I would of used them. The source I used for these I've had on my drive for over a year and the widescreen version was just released this year.

PLEASE don't compare it to the remake. I grew up with this one and though the stories are often great, please don't expect the grittiness of the newer version. It's disco-era is often on display.

I remember all BG series - and the original series have a lot of charm and naivety, in sync with the time of making. Comparing it to new series is like trying to set original 1966 Star Trek series against the latest installment (Enterprise with Scott Bakula) - different reality, altogether .
I love SciFi - and sometimes I miss the way we were fascinated, charmed and awed by the early TV SciFi TV series and movies.
I'm downloading JoyBell's BG "new" series as they come (up to S4 now) and this will be excellent addition to replace my tired DVD sets.
