This document describes the contents of the "Battletech Novels Ebook Torrent": contained are the Classic Battletech books(in German language), the first 16 Battletech Dark Age Novels, 20 Battlecorps stories and books and some classic Battletech books from FASA (all of this in English language).



Sources for the files are the Usenet and Bittorrent. I'd like to thank the original uploaders sincerely at this point for their efforts.



The formats used for the e-books in this torrent are mainly pdf and to a much lesser rtf and lit (Microsoft reader). Almost all novels contained in this torrent are available as pdf. For the novels that are not available as pdf (some later Dark Age novels) there is a rtf version. You can use current version of OpenOffice or wordpad in conjunction with PDFCreator to make your own pdf versions if you so require.



I discriminate between source and target ebook formats. "Source ebook formats" are the classical popular formats are beforementioned. Source formats can easily converted into each other and into "target ebook formats" list lit, mobi, pdb, lrf,epub and so on whereas the opposite conversions generally not (easily) possible. It was a conscious decision of mine not to include "target ebook formats" since there are so damn many of them wit lit being a notable exception.



German and English works both have no tags discerning the language of the text contained therein - thus for English speakers: if you open a file with a language you don't understand then it is German and so probably not of use to you ... :-D
