Additionally my x265 encodes use either 8bit or 10bit color depth. All my 10bit x265 encodes include "10bit" in the title. x265 10bit is more CPU intensive than x265 8bit. If you can play x265 8bit but not 10bit then you've discovered the limit of your hardware or application Trying a different application in the first instance is easier and much less expensive than new hardware.
