Begin Again (Music From and Inspired By the Original Motion Picture) [Deluxe Version] (Size: 115.05 MB)
Description
"Begin Again" is a new comedy and the soundtrack features a couple of the actors (Keira Knightley and Maroon 5's Adam Levine - yes, in his feature film debut) as well as Cee-Lo Green and Cessyl Orchestra.
Adam Levine opens the album with the stirring soulful ballad "Lost Stars" (with a lovely falsetto run at the end) which appears again in a more guitar-driven form as "Lost Stars (Into The Night Mix)". He also performs the upbeat Pop "No One Else Like You", and the Pop/Rock "A Higher Place". Knightley displays her soft earnest voice on the sunny Indie "Tell Me If You Wanna Go Home" which appears again as the more stripped Rooftop Mix, an acoustic version of "Lost Stars", the Folk/Pop "Like A Fool", the sunny upbeat "Coming Up Roses" and the Country-tinged ballad "A Step You Can't Take Back". She does impress and reminds me of Natalie Imbruglia. Cee-Lo appears on the breezy Soul "Horny" (tongue firmly in cheek) and the upbeat groovy "Women Of The World (Go On Strike)". Cessyl Orchestra perform the trippy ballads "Did It Ever Cross Your Mind", "Into The Trance" (which reminds me of "Purple Rain"-era Prince), "The Roof Is Broke" and "Intimidated By You".
