Berghain 01 - Andre Galluzzi

From the start this mix starts edgy and remains a little out of the ordinary, starting with the early Lusine icl “Figment” – good beginning ! Galluzzi is a seasoned pro of the frankfurt and berlin techno epicentres, expect sheer flowing mixes and tight transitions from electro to techno and back again with rythms of all kinds in between. Galluzzi founded the Taksi label in 1995 and here provides exactly the sort of mix you might have expected to hear in the warmup to a very sweaty night in the Tresor vault, quality, solidity, mixing deep with tough – Alex Under, Monne Automne, Maetrik, 2 Dollar Egg and Wighnomy Brothers inevitably rub shoulders with some nice leads. Recognisible themes that will help you through many a dark night, a reminder to me of the good times spent in that basement in Leipzigerstrasse. anyway enough of reminicsing, this is a tight selection - all good.
