Big Art Saturday, 23rd May 2009 7pm to 8pm Channel4 Part 3 of 4 Big Art is a major new arts series bringing original works of art - commissioned by the general public - to the landscapes and townscapes of the UK, as well as exploring the place of art in the built environment. The programme started life four years ago when people across the country were offered the chance to create world-class art in their own backyards. The third episode brings at least some of the projects closer to fruition. The champions of each of the projects meet up with some of the world's best artists for public art and start to put meat on the bones of the ideas. The St.Helens lot are really going for it, and have turned from a group of working class ex-miners into a bunch of avant-garde art critics. Then there's a sudden change of heart over what goes on the Beckton Alp. But it's not all plain sailing for all of the projects. The Cardigan project suddenly runs up against the fact that Cardigan is a nice quiet conservative little sort of a place. And the Sheffield project has to tackle head on a multinational energy company whose spokesman is, in her own words, no great artist. === File Information === File Name: Big Art - s01e03.avi Duration: 00:48:04 (72,103 fr) File Size: 399 MB (or 409,006 KB or 418,822,144 bytes) bytes === Video Information === Video Codec Name: XviD Video Bitrate: 1025 kb/s Bits / Pixel: 0.187 bits/pixel Resolution: 624x352 (1.77:1) [=39:22] Frames Per Second: 25.000 fps === Audio Information === Audio Codec: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3 Audio Bitrate: 129 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.90 =============================== Some of the other rather spiffing shows available now and always if you signup free @ www.TheBox.bz: Comedy: The Office, Peep Show, Coupling, Chef, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, The IT Crowd, Brass Eye, Nathan Barley, Young Ones, Monty Python, Blackadder, Alan Partridge, Father Ted, Coupling, Little Britain, Mr Bean, Extras, Green Wing, Mighty Boosh Drama: Casualty, Holby City, The Bill, Hustle, Skins, Shameless, Ashes To Ashes Entertainment: Faking It, Derren Brown, Scrapheap Challenge, Strictly Come Dancing, Wife Swap Game/Quiz Shows: Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Have I Got News For You, Deal Or No Deal (UK) Education/Documentary: Planet Earth, Horizon, Panorama, Mark Thomas (Comedy) Product Food: Hell's Kitchen, Jamie Oliver, The F Word, Kitchen Nightmares, Masterchef, Great British Menu, Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Home/Property/Garden: Property Ladder, How Clean Is Your House?, Changing Rooms, Grand Designs, Homes Under The Hammer, To Buy Or Not To Buy Motoring: Top Gear, Fifth Gear Music: Top Of The Pops, Jools Holland Reality: Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!, Any Dream Will Do, Grease, Pop Idol, Wife Swap, X Factor, Badger Or Bust, Apprentice UK, Dragons' Den Sci-Fi: Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, Torchwood Sport: Football (Soccer), Cricket, Rugby, Snooker, Darts, Formula One (F1GP) Soaps: Eastenders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Neighbours, Hollyoaks Style/Fashion: What Not To Wear, Project Catwalk Kids: Teletubbies, Blue Peter, Tikkabilla, Andy Pandy, Postman Pat, Shoebox Zoo, Brum, Bob The Builder, Young Dracula, Sarah Jane Adventures, Shaun The Sheep Sharing Widget |
