"Boom Boom Pow" is a hit song by the Black Eyed Peas released as the lead single from their upcoming album The E.N.D.. The song uses the auto-tune vocal effect, and blends the genres of dance pop, electro-hop and hip hop. The song is themed with a futuristic feel.

The single sold 465,000 downloads in its first week of digital release, the third-largest number of download sales in a single week overall, and the largest single-week and debut-download totals by a group in the history of digital-download sales tracking, reaching #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Pop 100. It became the group's first U.S. #1. It sold another 335,000 downloads in the U.S. in its second week of release, 259,000 in its third week, 226,000 in its fourth, 212,000 in its fifth and 215,000 in its sixth, bringing its total U.S. sales to 1,717,000 in six weeks. This made it the second-fastest song to hit the one million mark in paid downloads, the first being Flo Rida's "Right Round", which did it in two weeks. Thanks to its digital downloads and massive radio airplay, the song has topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks, making it the Black Eyed Peas' most successful U.S. single to date. The song has also charted internationally and reached #1 in Canada and Australia as well.

Fergie had stated at an interview on The Insider that the music video would be shooting the week of March 8, 2009. Apl.de.ap confimed that they started filming it on March 9. The making of the video was released by MTV on April 8.

In an interview to MTV, it was said that "... the concept of the video is the Peas' birth into the digital afterlife," Fergie said. "So the transformation is us going into a sort of birth or cocoon and coming out the other end as forms of energy. It's a parallel to the music industry. Now everything is downloaded." Group member will.i.am stated the video was inspired by how digital the world has become and hopes the video portrays "what it would be like if we were actually in the computer, if art was fused in it," he said. "[It's] analog life from a digital perspective. Becoming technology."[citation needed] The music video was directed by Mathew Cullen. The video premiered on Dipdive on April 18, 2009 and was released on iTunes on April 24, 2009.

The video starts with Taboo flicking through pictures on a HP TouchSmart, he selects the image of an explosion. The Black Eyed Peas are then seen singing their verses of the song. While this is happening, dancers are seen in striped suits, dancing to the song, and negative images are turned into positive images. e.g. the explosion turns into a tree swing, the grenade into a microphone, and a digital combination of the of the four members (which also appears on the album cover of The E.N.D.). Fergie sings her individual part of the song, dressed in a catsuit which changes colours, calling will.i.am to perform his rap. Will.i.am appears on screen, changing into a futuristic outfit with the help of the striped dancers. He then performs his rap, with the dancers dancing around him. Fergie performs her verse again, dancing in a suit made from lights. Then, all four band members arrive on screen, and perform a slow-moving dance together. At the end of the video, the image dissipates, and the viewers are shown the HP TouchSmart from the beginning of the video, this time reading "The E.N.D."
