Description:
This new edition in the "Bloom's Modern Critical Views" series gathers together some of the best analyses of the Bronte sisters - Charlotte, Emily, and Anne. Several works of the authors are examined, including "Jane Eyre" and "Wuthering Heights", the two novels considered to be their best. This title is enhanced by a chronology, bibliography, and notes on the contributors, as well as an introductory essay by noted literary professor Harold Bloom.

A sisterhood of great writers, The Brontes have made their mark. "The Brontes" is another edition in Bloom's Classic Critical Views series. Wildly popular in their day, they have became a major force in the history of English writing. Bloom and his critics look at the full catalog of their writings and discuss each of them in full, ranging from their novels to their poetry which was published under pseudonyms. "The Brontes" is a thorough and scholarly examination of icons of English literature.
