Hybrid Comedy/Crime/Drama that pokes quite a bit of fun at the language/culture division between French & English speaking Canadians, the national obsession w/ hockey and a few other Canadian idiosyncrasies.

Ended Porky's (1982) 24-year reign as the highest grossing Canadian movie in the Canadian box office. (October 2006)

Plot:
When a dead body is found on the border between Quebec & Ontario, neither side really wants the case, so jurisdiction is shared between the two police forces. Detectives David Bouchard (Patrick Huard) from Montreal & Martin Ward (Colm Feore) from Toronto are assigned to work together. The two men couldn't be more different... with totally different styles, attitudes & languages, the reckless David & the ethical Martin join forces. In fact, the only thing they appear to have in common is that they are both cops, albeit cops with completely different... well, everything.
