"Bootsie and Snudge" - made by Granada for ITV - was a UK television series written by Barry Took and Marty Feldman. It featured Clive Dunn (more famous for being in Dad's Army) as well as Alfie Bass and Bill Fraser, and was a follow on from "The Army Game". It centred around a gentlemen's club called the Imperial Club. At the Imperial Club Bootsie and Snudge resumed their roles of snivelling skiver and bullying sergeant, with contributions from the ancient and always-bumbling dogsbody, Johnson (Clive Dunn), all under the tyrannical eye of the Hon. Sec., the club secretary (played by Robert Dorning). Four episodes are already listed on TheBox - see http://www.thebox.bz/browse.php?incldead=1&search=bootsie+and+snudge&nonboolean=0. I have a further 17 episodes originally broadcast in 1960/61 (all except one from the first series - see list below) that I can upload if there is an interest. These files were downloaded from UKNova in May 2007 - I do not know the nick of the original capper/encoder/uploader so I cannot give a proper attribution, but thanks are due to him/her not me (both for the episodes and for much of the information in this nfo file). Should you already have these episodes and want to help seed, please note that I have changed the file names in order to meet TheBox's guidelines. These shows are all in black and white, all recorded from Granada Plus around 1997/98 . All episodes have a G+ channel bug in the corner. The source quality is variable, ranging from fair to good, given that the episodes are from 16mm telerecordings. Audio is variable too - some episodes are quite hissy. All perfectly watchable though. However the episode I have entitled "Demobilisation and The Imperial Club" is about Bootsie and Snudge's demobilisation from the army and obtaining employment at the Imperial Club. Chronologically and sequentially therefore it precedes "Bootsie's Punctured Romance". It may be that this demobilisation episode was a "special" or a "pilot" show, or it may be that it was in fact S01E01 and that "Bootsie's Punctured Romance" was S01E02 - is it coincidence that neither episode listing has a title for episode S01E02? In the absence of any further information I have retained the S01E01 attribution for "Bootsie's Punctured Romance" and therefore labelled the demobilisation episode as S01E00. =============================== Some of the other rather spiffing shows available now and always if you signup free @ www.TheBox.bz: Comedy: The Office, Peep Show, Coupling, Chef, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses, The IT Crowd, Brass Eye, Nathan Barley, Young Ones, Monty Python, Blackadder, Alan Partridge, Father Ted, Coupling, Little Britain, Mr Bean, Extras, Green Wing, Mighty Boosh Drama: Casualty, Holby City, The Bill, Hustle, Skins, Shameless, Ashes To Ashes Entertainment: Faking It, Derren Brown, Scrapheap Challenge, Strictly Come Dancing, Wife Swap Game/Quiz Shows: Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Have I Got News For You, Deal Or No Deal (UK), Q.I.
