Broderick Smith even has the same initials ! They also do a great version of Springsteen's "Badlands" While in the States, the Dingoes were booked to do a national tour with Lynard Skynard which would have probably launched them to success was cancelled due to the plane crash which killed several members of the Lynrad Skynard band. Came back to Australia disheartened and disbanded (told by Chris Stockley) Kerryn Tolhurst remained in the states, living in Arazona, but only recently returned to Australia. "Last Train from Mobil Town" is a great opening track, and grabs you straight away. Use the rhythm section in the song to sound like a driving train, with it's fade using John Annas on snare and Mick Connor on organ, the song quickly builds. Like alot of songs about trains, it is a metaphor about moving on in life. He wants to leave this shit town that he has never been happy in and he just sees his future ahead going someone else. The lyrics of the song are very much like those of Springsteen where he paints a wonderful picture of how much he hates the town he lives in Track Listing: 01 Last Train from Mobil Town 02 Faded Roses 03 Tightrope 04 High Rise 05 Back Off Baby Brother 06 I was Here 07 Fortune Favours the Bold 08 My Father's Hands 09 The Devil Drives 10 Ruby in the Snow Sharing Widget |
