intricate and interlaced melodies alongside catchy and introspective lyricism. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Broken Tongues provides a fresh taste of their own jazzy, funktified hip-hop while

showing they are not afraid to bend the rules when it comes to what "hip-hop" should or shouldn't be. The

brother duo consists of beat-maker, turntablist and lyricist, Greensleeves, and

the melody-weaving, multi-instrumentalist, World B Free. Amidst a new-music

trend of bootlegged samples and ghost writers, Broken Tongues plays all of their

own instruments and writes everything themselves... Nice.





Vocal Chords is 8 tracks in total, including 3 instrumentals sure to turn some

keys... Vocal Chords features the singles, "Dimes in Dollar Stores" and "Does Hip-Hop Remember the

Jazz?" as well as an appearance from Denver's Best MC and newest member of Broken Tongues, Loose Change, on the last track on the album entitled, "Mama's Funk."
