Joseph Baldassare once again brings together the most exciting singers and musicians from around the globe to work on his original compilation, Living Theater, the only compilation written as a compilation in the chillout / lounge scene. The Living Theater series on Kunduru Music, consists of original songs written, arranged and produced by Joseph Baldassare, not licensed tracks compiled by a DJ. After the success of the first two volumes, Buddha-bar presents Living Theater vol. 1 & 2, Joseph has now created his third volume entitled Living Theater vol.3 Metamorphosis. Baldassare along with his array of international performers from Greece, Italy, Ireland, Canada, Venezuela and many more far off places step up the beat just a bit this time, taking this volume to the next level. The 14 song cd contains the ultimate in chill as well as some moving grooves as is apparent on Charlene Holloway's inspirational version of Baldassare's "Miracle". Charlene, alongside other new-comers Kaz Silver (True Love), Missarah (Wishing you were here), Laurie Fessler (I confess) and Emanuelle degli Angeli (Voui ballar con me) are all welcomed additions to the Living Theater family of artists. With musical styles ranging from trance opera to cool jazz, hip hop to ethnic, this one of a kind cd is a must for the world beat crowd who has the mind to travel while standing still, once again reminded, "If the world is a stage, then we are all Living Theater". cafe del mar-like, April 27, 2002 Reviewer: A music fan very nice little cd, in the same style as cafe del mar series, very relaxing, to enjoy late in the evening, or with a sunset-view. however, cafe del mar addicts might find it a little bit not "rich" enough in sound. so, like cafe del mar, but not as good as cafe del mar. A different kind of chillout music, March 10, 2002 By Erica Anderson (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews My latest musical obsession right now is chillout music. So far I have only found one compilation that I do not care for (The Ultimate Chillout 2001 or something close to that title). It took me awhile to love the seventh volume in the Cafe Del Mar series. As commercialized as "Ultra Chilled" and "The Classic Chillout Album" are, I love those two compilations to pieces. The diversity on those albums are first class. Not all chillout music is trip hop. My latest acquisition is "Buddha Bar Presents: Living Theater vol.1". This cd is far different from what I have been exposed to. Now while the music here is excellent to chillout to, I would have to say the music itself is more world than trip hop, with a splattering of jazz. P.Melas' cover of "My Funny Valentine" is a sensual aural pleasure with the jazz-influenced beats and smooth vocals. Probably the sexiest track on this album. I particularly loved Manuel Franjo's "Solo Por Tu Amor" and Balthazar's "Gypsy Tears". "Adams & Evenings" by Bert Joris is a gorgeous instrumental that is both jazz and trip hop influenced. It almost reminds me of Lux's "One Billion Stars" in some strange way. This album is ideal for a lazy Sunday morning with a cup of hot coffee and the Sunday newspaper as it is ideal for an afterhours nightclub to sit back and relax after partying heavily. This is just a superb collection of world, jazz, trip-hop influenced songs that deserves to be heard whether it be in a nightclub or at home. buddha-bar star, September 4, 2001 Reviewer: A music fan The artists on the album are wonderful, as are most of the words and music of most of the selections. It's great that "My Funny Valentine" was thrown into the mix of unusual and off-beat pieces. My one complaint is that I'm unable to find albums by the artists I fell in love with -- in particular. Manuel Franjo, Erica Jennings and Medea. Who and where are they? Please seed after downloading...... http://thepiratebay.org/user/alientechy Related Torrents
