This is a new release in the Cafe del Mar series and once again shows why Cafe del Mar is
THE leader of the pack when it comes to creating the perfect eclectic mix of atmospheric
electronica and moody laid back rhythmic tunes....The artists are often quite obscure
(though a typically melancholic Moby features here complete with tinkling piano and Kate Bush
turns up on a deep-voiced remix of Running Up That Hill) yet this unknown quantity doesn't
detract - the productions are slick and sophisticated, the vibes gloriously relaxed, sometimes
primal, sometimes veering towards the spiritual (check out the final track on CD2 by Bliss
"End Titles", and the vocals are calming even if draped over a beat....This is perfect music
for a late night setting, be it in a cafe or at home, and a perfect prelude to nightfall
and beyond...
