As Cat Stevens he defined a generation. Now, after three decades, he returns with his finest album.
The millions who bought the records he made as Cat Stevens will once again hear his mellow voice and intimate, thought provoking songs. The album was co-produced by Yusuf and Rick Nowells (whose credits include working with Madonna, Rod Stewart and Dido) and shows that his voice is still familiar and that he has lost none of his ability to conjure up a memorable melody.
Interestingly, Yusuf is also being cited as a key influence by a new younger set of songwriters such as Jack Johnson, James Blunt and James Morrison.
