Inspired by the Geico Insurance commercials, Cavemen takes a look at life through the eyes of three modern cavemen as they journey through the world. Joel, Nick and Jamie are contemporary cavemen living in suburbia trying to be ordinary men leading ordinary lives. As they try to assimilate into modern world, Nick begins to feel like society will never fully accept them, Jamie goes with the flow, and Joel finds himself torn between tradition and modern life.

Joel tries to hide from Nick, Andy and Maurice that he's dating a "sape" (slang for Homo sapien), but worries that she's embarassed to tell her friends she's dating a caveman. Meanwhile, Andy arrives after being cheated on.
