Chronological X-Men From 1880's To 2009 Gigatorrent

This is a chronological telling of the X-Men starting with the origin of Wolverine in the 1880's, continuing with the origin of Magneto during WWII and going on to the origin of the X-Men team and its members. Every subsequent and relevant story arc and X-Title is included up to and beyond the Civil War story arc and ends in 2009. In 1993 there were several Marvel UK comics that crossed over into the X-Men universe that I was not able to include. As they are not integral to the chronology and I really wanted to get this out, I did not worry about them but if anyone notices them and by some odd chance has them please let me know and I would be more than happy to update and add them.

Age of Apocalypse

The story of Earth-295, an alternate Marvel universe. In a world without the leadership of Charles Xavier, it is up to his friend, Magneto, to fight against the rule of Apocalypse and his Horsemen.

Asgardian Wars

A series of two cross-overs involving mutants in Asgard. The first cross-over involved Alpha Flight & the X-Men trying to save Madelyn Prior who had been turned into an Asgardian Goddess. In the second story Loki kidnapped Storm & the New Mutants, forcing the X-Men to rescue them.

Assault on Weapon Plus

Wolverine, Cyclops, and Fantomex assault the Weapon Plus base to uncover important revelations about the Weapon Plus program including the suggestion that Captain America was Weapon I.

Atlantis Attacks

Ghuar, Llyra, and Attuma join forces to launch an attack on the surface world in a bid for global domination using the armies of Atlantis and Lemuria.

Bloodties

Follow up event to Fatal Attractions that pitted the Avengers and X-Men against Fabian Cortez and Exodus in battle on the island of Genosha.

Civil War

In the United States, a Super-human Registration Act is passed, which decrees that all Mutants or Super-Humans must register with the government, giving all personal information, as well as powers.

Dark Phoenix Saga

The Phoenix Force consumes Jean Grey and with the manipulation of the Hellfire Club's Mastermind she's driven insane. She consumes the power of a star and kills billions before sacrificing herself.

Days of Future Past

Days of Future Past is a storyline set in Earth-811 where most of Earth's mutants have been killed.

Days of Future Present

Franklin Richards has apparently traveled back in time, an act that causes Ahab to come calling with his hounds.

Deadly Genesis

On the heels of the House of M an omega level mutant from the X-Men's past awakens and reemerges with a startling secret about Professor Xavier and the "Second Genesis" of the X-Men.

Decimation

The Decimation spans several series' and story-lines, chronicling the aftermath of the House of M and the lives affected.

Here Comes Tomorrow is an alternate future in which the sentient bacteria Sublime tries to use the Phoenix to destroy all creation.

Death resurrects Thanos who acquires the six infinity gems and kills half the life in the universe in her honor with the Infinity Gauntlet. Adam Warlock leads Earth's greatest heroes against Thanos.

Adam Warlock's bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil.

Legion Quest

The prelude to the alternate reality "Age of Apocalypse", "Legion Quest" followed the story of Professor X's son Legion, who attempted to realize his father's dreams by killing his worst enemy.

Manifest Destiny

A banner of comics, such as "The Initiative" that span out of X-Men: Messiah Complex, and involved the X-Men's move to San Francisco.

Messiah CompleX

Major event taking place in the X-Men universe starting late 2007 and ending early 2008. The X-Men discover what may be the last hope for their race--the birth of the first new mutant since M-Day.

Murder at the Mansion

"Murder At The Mansion" is a comic book arc running through #139-141 of New X-Men (volume one).

Mutant Massacre

The Mutant Massacre was a Marvel Comics crossover event beginning in 1986. It involved the X-Men, X-Factor, the New Mutants, Power Pack, Thor, and Daredevil. The principle writer was Chris Claremont.

Necrosha

A cross-over event in New Mutants, X-Force & X-Men: Legacy. Eli Bard infected himself with the docile transmode virus to resurrect & control the dead. As Selene's former lover, he sent the resurrected to attack the X-Men and intended to use the dead Genoshans to make her a goddess.

Onslaught

The culmination of the X-Traitor storyline and the lead in to Heroes Reborn. Onslaught attempted to recreate the world in his image, only to be defeated by the combined sacrifice of Earth's heroes.

Operation: Zero Tolerance

Follows the "Onslaught" storyline. Due to growing mistrust between humankind and mutantkind, Bastion and his Sentinels were given the U.S. government's approval to carry out a campaign of eradication.

Phalanx Covenant

The Phalanx attempt to take over the Earth to suck the energy out of all organic life. It takes the combined forces of the X-Teams and the mutants that would become Generation X to stop it.

Phoenix: Endsong

A group of students at Xavier's school who disagree with Professor X's views on human/mutant relations start a riot.

Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire

After Vulcan reawakens from his stasis in space and confronts Charles Xavier, he leaves for the the Shi'ar empire to destroy those who killed his mother and imprisoned him as a child.

Schism

The event that threatens to tear the X-Men apart, The clash between Cyclops and Wolverine. A new Hellfire club rises and the the X-Men must choose who they will follow.

Second Coming

An upcoming story arc revolving around the apparent mutant messiah, Hope Summers, and her return to the present and the ramifications of her birth and adventures.

Secret Invasion

The X-Men were involved in the Invasion, defending San Francisco against the invading aliens.

Secret Wars

The Secret Wars was a ground breaking mini-series from Marvel that brought all of Earth-616's greatest heroes together to battle with the worst villains under the watchful eye of the Beyonder.

SFX

"SFX" is a comic book arc, running through #500-503 0f Uncanny X-Men.

The Demon Bear Saga

The Demon Bear Saga chronicles one of The New Mutants earlier confrontations with evil magical beings, taking place during The New Mutants 18, 19, 20, and 21.

The Extremists

“The Extremists” is a five-issue comic book arc running through issues #487-491 of Uncanny X-Men. Four of these issues include the back up stories tied-in to the crossover Endangered Species.

Torn

"Torn" is a comic book arc running through #13-18 of Astonishing X-Men (volume three).

Norman osborn and his Dark Avengers go on war against the mutants and the X-Men in San Francisco.

World War Hulk

Hulk returns from Sakar to take revenge upon the Illuminati, but he did not come alone.

X-Cutioner's Song

Stryfe's masterpiece of revenge on his "parents" Cyclops and Jean Grey, Cable, a weakened Apocalypse, and Xavier's dream ignites a battle between the X-Teams, and unleashes the Legacy Virus.
