Description
Renowned criminal psychologist, Doctor Alix Franchot, finds herself standing outside the unwelcoming gates of a decommissioned Victorian Lunatic Asylum. But amongst the ruins, she is there to meet a patient: a child killer so dangerous that he, like the others, is detained in secret, hidden away from the world in a place believed to have been abandoned decades ago.
Detective Inspector Ash Fielding is called to the scene of a mass homicide at a small church in a quaint, back-water English village. Bodies have been stripped of their clothes and piled high on top of one another before the altar making a human pyre; their deaths slow and ritualised. In a different World, an evil as ancient as time itself stirs. For centuries, the Necromire have kept our World safe. Now the peace they have created is under threat. Malevolent forces have awoken the Hollow One, the Sin. The Necromire's only hope lies with a lost soul who calls himself Azrael. Fused together by fate, Azrael takes Alix as his host and, together with the help of Ash, makes the last stance against Sin and his followers. Tormented by the unexplained disappearance of her sister during her childhood and confused about her feelings for Ash, Alix is left holding the fate of mankind in her fragile hands... Damn the flesh that depends on the soul. Damn the soul that depends on the flesh. Sharing Widget |
