Released: June 23, 2009 | Label: Trippin & Rhythm | Catalog #: TNR37 With a Masters Degree in jazz performance from the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA and a Bachelors degree in jazz studies from Ithaca College, NY, Bradley has enjoyed a varied and impressive career in music from an early age. As a jazz educator she has conducted numerous workshops and her innate fullness of sound works equally well when notching up the tempo or (as she frequently does) slipping delightfully into turned down mode. Clearly impressed by her undoubted talent, Trippin ‘n’ Rhythm VP Jeff Lunt has commented that, in over 26 six years in the business, he cannot recall being more excited about a new artist. For ‘Bloom’, Michael Broening writes (or co-writes with Bradley) all ten tracks and, in addition, is constantly captivating on keyboards. This is particularly so with the happy vibe of ‘Swing Set’ where Bradley on flugelhorn is top-notch and she keeps things lively for the uplifting ‘On Solid Ground’ where Jay Soto takes the lead on guitar. Soto’s own current CD ‘Mesmerized’ was also produced by Broening who, after winning a Grammy in 2007 for his work on the George Benson hit ‘Mornin’, is rapidly becoming one of the hottest contemporary jazz producers around. His influence is also felt on the superbly silky ‘Take Me There’ for which Bradley is joined by up and coming saxophonist Dominic Amato and when Marion Meadows on soprano and tenor saxes steps up for the tight mid tempo groove of ‘Uptown Drive’ his interplay with Cindy’s trumpet really fizzes.
