Genre: Non-Fiction > Cooking From the Author Big Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt 3/4 c. butter, melted 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1 egg yolk 1 T. vanilla extract 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; mix well and set aside. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugars until well blended. Add egg, egg yolk and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture into butter mixture; stir until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Form dough into balls, 1/4 cup at a time; place 2 inches apart on greased or parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 17 minutes, or until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheets for several minutes; transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 15.
